It has been announced that a well known asbestos attorney from the United States will present at the 2005 Mealey’s Asbestos Liability Forum held in London, England. The forum is to be held in November 17th 2005, and a co-founder of US asbestos litigation firm will be sharing his asbestos knowledge with UK officials at the forum.
The discussion at the forum will cover a number of issues, and is titled “U.S. Litigation Overview and Analysis”. Some of the issues covered will include the current trend in asbestos litigation in the United States, an overview of defendants, various areas of litigation, legislation relating to asbestos, and expected costs and claims for the future relating to asbestos litigation.
As in the United States, the number of cases of asbestos related disease, and therefore the level of litigation relating to this issue, continues to rise. It is expected to hit a peak in 2010.
The conference is to begin on November 17th and will conclude on November 18th. Part of the forum is designed to prepare both the United States and the United Kingdom for the increasing level of asbestos related disease and litigation expected for the future.
