Following the recent controversy over naturally occurring asbestos in the El Dorado Hills area, county officials have brought in a new ruling that will hopefully ease some of the problems and risks associated with the disturbance of naturally occurring asbestos through construction. Some concerns had recently been raised with regards to the risks of constructing buildings in areas that higher levels of naturally occurring asbestos, and it is hoped that the new rules will take the county a step closer to cutting these risks.

The new rules adopted by the county aim to introduce more stringent regulations with regards to minimizing dust during construction. The rules have been adopted by the county's Air Quality Management District board, and officials have stated that the regulations and rules will be updated on a continual basis to reflect advancements in technology that could help ease the problem further.

These new rules will not only apply to the construction of buildings, but also to smaller types of construction as well, such as the installation of residential swimming pools that might require excavation. There is still some controversy over the new rules, as some people do not think that the regulations are sufficient enough to make much of an impact when it comes to minimizing the risks. Others think that the rules do not take finances into account, and that businesses could suffer as a result.
