A meeting is to be held in Japan for parents and school officials to discuss asbestos at an elementary school. The meeting is scheduled for later this month, where discussion will take place with regards to asbestos at the school. The learning facility in question is the Yokota East Elementary School.
The meeting will be held in the base theatre, where teachers, parents, and other school officials will get together to discuss the various asbestos related issues relating to the school.
An update will be provided with regards to the testing as well as the removal of asbestos at the school. This comes after the school had to be closed for a number of days last year following the discovery of asbestos in the media center. At that time the classes held in the area were relocated.
Officials described the closure, which took place last September, as a precautionary measure at the time. They stated that this was done to allow environmental testing to be carried out in the area.
